  • Martin DID NOT die in the mini-series

Martin DID NOT die in the mini-series. He's flying the mother ship at the end of V: The Final Battle. It was great to see the story continue even though some things were not consistant with the mini-series. I wish the sequel with the original cast came to be. I do like the ABC version though. It's different, but enjoyable.

  • The continuation of the Miniseries starts where it leaves off and leads to an alliance with the humans and Diana.

    7.0
    "Good"
This is a continuation of the miniseries but takes liberties with it to rework a couple of different angles and stories. Martin is still alive, but in the miniseries he dies. The "Starchild" (actually reference in the miniseries) as well is aging quickly. Diana gets puts on trial for crimes against humanity.

However, she is shot before she enters the courtroom (ala Lee Harvey Oswald). Donovan sees through the assassination attempt as a way to fool the humans that Diana is dead. It turns out Diana has formed an alliance with a politician named Nathan Bates. Actually at first it's Bates who thinks he has control over Diana, however, later Diana shows whose the boss as Bate's own son is used to blackmail in exchange for his "help" against the resistance.

The goofs with the red dust angle are noticable as well. It's clear Diana should be dead, but for whatever reason she is still alive (even though Martin dies from it).

All glitches ignored they did stick with the story for the most part. The twists were predictable but nonetheless entertaining. Tyler acts like he's working for Bates but in reality is out for Diana's blood. The angle with Starchild growing physically and more powerful is consistent with the miniseries. Anyhow, for the continuation of the miniseries this was a decent start.moreless

    • Martin: What do you think you're gonna get for stealing a helicopter? Mike: Two years. Or a pulitzer prize! Now where's that ambulance? Edit
    • Nathan: Tell me, Mr. Tyler, what would you do with Diana? Ham: I'd use her for target practice. Nathan: Then you reject the argument that she can atone for her crimes by helping us in our fight against disease? Ham: Diana is the disease. Edit
    • Ham: No amateurs. I do this my way. Nathan: You work for me. Ham: Wrong. I'm a free agent from now on. Nathan: Then I'd say I'm entitled to a refund. Ham: I'd tell you what to do with your money but that'd be rude. Nathan: How will I know if you've killed Diana? Ham: I'll let you live. Edit
