  • The Betrayal marks a huge turning point in the series, it also shows how each member of the Resistance has played their part, sacrificing so much to help the others.

From the previous episode, The Hero, Willie has decided to step up his efforts and be more hands on with aiding the Resistance in their valiant struggle to survive. When Willie becomes wounded, Julie fears she may not be able to help Willie, causing Donovan and Tyler to "borrow" a Visitor doctor to help Willie. The same dcotor is also part of the Fifth Column and tells Donovan and Tyler of a secret plot.

In the process of raiding the compiund of stashed weapons, Robin is isolated, an attempt to cause her to conceive and a second "star child" frightens her deeply, but Donovan and Tyler save her.

Once back to the base, Robin decides it'd be best to leave Los Angeles for Chicago. Tyler and Chris escort her.

This episode loses three members of the Resistance, plus Elias's death from the previous episode and Robert's death from the second episode leaves the team much smaller, but so much more determined to win the war.

In my opinion, this episode is the best of the series. It shows how much each character cares about each other and how quickly their team shrinks within a short period of time, raising the stakes for peaceful co-existence.moreless
