Hmm... VK is more about the vampires themselves than about hunting them.

Well back to it... I would recommend Blood+ (even though the romance is basically hinted, and it's a whole different type of vampiric monsters) beacuse the main concept in both of them is: Are vampires really that horrible? I just really love it. It's got everything you need in an anime...so go for it

I strongly recomend Blood+ as well...Blood+ is my favorit anime and 2nd favorit show of all time. Although the stories really aren't similar, what is similar is good dialogue, mature and well developed characters, and an internally consistant storyline.

I'm going to have to watch that then...everyone seems to like it.

I have a recommendation, but it's a similar manga, not anime. It's called Bloody Kiss and is only 6 chapters. I started reading it yesterday, and it's amazing!!!

You should really watch Blood+. I became addicted after the first three episodes. And thanks for recommending bloody kiss. I also liked that one.

Hey I know you're getting into anime so may I recommend some manga?

I read all my manga at either onemanga, mangavolume, or mangahut

If you like the romance of Vampire Knight than I suggest Shinigami Lovers.

If you like action and comedy than I suggest Rosario+Vampire (which has it's own anime but the manga is some much better and goes deeper into the plot)

If you like an awesome plot than try Elfen Lied (which again has an anime series but the manga goes sooo much deeper into the plot.) But be warned, Elfen Lied has a very gory plot. When I recommend this to people I always ask them if they could stand the fights in Kill Bill, if not then they'll be really quesy while watching episode one of Elfen Lied. But trust me the story line is soooo worth it.

Also, Death Note has a manga too with a slightly different ending. The endising is so much more perfect!

I know this isn't all that similar to VK, but I just recently got into Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. I recommend it for anyone who loves a confusing and complicated storyline. (It reminds me of Death Note.)

Code Geass reminds of Death Note too. Pretty intense show (cept for Mao he is just crazy).

Try D.Gray-man, that's really good. If you like sports then Prince of Tennis and Eyeshield 21 are quite good too!
