  • Veggie Tales is at it's best when it's a story inspired by the Bible. I really enjoy episodes like Rack, Shack and Benny or Esther...The Girl Who Became Queen. But this episode was just a message on sharing.moreless

    Veggie Tales is at it's best when it's a story inspired by the Bible. It's interesting as an adult to note differences between reality and the Veggie Tales version. That's why I really enjoy episodes like Rack, Shack and Benny or Esther...The Girl Who Became Queen. But this episode (Lyle, the Kindly Viking) didn't seem to have any basis in the history of the Bible. It centered around an oddly presented moral. Trying to illustrate the moral of sharing and kindness with Vikings who steal stuff doesn't work. The story get's unnecessarily complicated. Also the humor was humor usually seen in a Veggie Tales was almost completely missing. I don't recommend this episode for either kids or adults.moreless
