This petite actress is, like her Veronica Mars character, is cute as a bug and sharp as a tack. Bell played Veronica in the eponymous series about a teen private investigator for four seasons starting in 2004.
Kristen grew up in Huntington Woods, a suburb of Detroit. She has two sisters, Sara and Jody, and is of Irish and Polish ancestry. At age 11, she won her first audition and played a banana and a tree in a community theater production of Raggedy Ann and Andy.
Kristen attended Shrine Catholic High School in Royal Oak, Michigan, where she starred as Dorothy in a production of The Wizard of Oz in 1997. She had supporting roles in Fiddler on the Roof (1995), Lady Be Good (1996) and Li'l Abner (1998).
Kristen studied musical theater at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
Kristen made her Broadway debut in 2001 as the original Becky Thatcher in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. In 2002, she played opposite heavyweights Laura Linney and Liam Neeson as Susanna Walcott in the Broadway revival of the late Arthur Miller's The Crucible.
She has appeared Off-Broadway in Reefer Madness and also in productions of Hair, The Wizard of Oz and The Miracle Worker.
She delivered a sly performance in Showtime's Reefer Madness in 2005. Two big film credits include playing Sarah Marshall in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) and Nikki in Burlesque (2010)
Kristen currently narrates as title character in the CW series Gossip Girl In 2009, she starred in the comedies Serious Moonlight and Couples Retreat. She also starred in When in Rome, which was released in 2010. Bell recently joined Scream 4, which will be released on April 15, 2011. She is also involved inEverbody Loves Whales and Dance of the Mirlitons. She ha been a vegetarian since age 11 and is now involved with PETA and ASPCA. If there ever was a television award for outstanding actor playing 'sheep-in-wolf's-clothing', Kyle Gallner would be a prime candidate to walk away with the trophy. Kyle Gallner, a native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, is best known for portraying Cassidy "Beaver" Casablancas on the crime mystery series Veronica Mars. People also remember him as the speedy pickpocket and later on Justice superhero Bart Allen and his alter-ego, Impulse on the popular TV version of the story of young Clark Kent/Superman, Smallville. Apart from these two prominent roles on CW shows, Gallner has often been cast as the disturbed teen or unlikely criminal mastermind or falsely-accused individual in most of his television guest appearances. Kyle was born and grew up in West Chester, Pennsylvania, where he attended East High School. His career started out when on one occasion, he followed his sister to a casting selection. He first appeared on television in an episode of NBC's suspense drama Third Watch in 2000. This native Argentinean ordinarily thought of as American, was born and raised in Argentina, until her family decided to move to Miami, Florida where she didn't speak a word of English. She was barely 8 yrs old at the time. Gonzalo states that "The hardest part about moving here (the States) was the languageI learned at school and by watching TV."
The Gonzalo family moved from Buenos Aires to Miami where Julie found her passion for acting as she began taking s in theatre. After a period of time she relocated solo to Los Angeles in the hope to see what may occur in the way of a career in the industry. Luck came her way and she became surrounded by good people who helped her in her endeavors to further her acting, within 6 months of being situated in Los Angeles she was involved with her first film.
She attributes her success as a Blessing from God for being in the right place at the right time. She's fluent Spanish and is hoping to release movies within the Spanish market as well as the Western. She has a great sense of pride for her culture.
She's breaking the stereotype for White Latinas everywhere, letting the world know that not all Latin women look like Jennifer Lopez some are, blonde blue eyed beauties.
"Lot's of people see me and are surprised because they imagined a different type. Like Julie Gonzalo doesn't suit my body. They'd ask me 'Where are you from? I'd say, Argentina; they'd reply 'Your family is from Argentina.' I'd reply 'No I was born there and for me it's a privilege to be able to communicate with two different markets both English and Spanish."
The starlet is 5' 8" she can be seen in the music videos "Heaven" for popular Hispanic boy band Menudo and "I Need You Now" for Bart Baldwin. It has recently been reported that she is dating writer/director Brinton Bryan (born December 20, 1981).
