Logan: My day is complete. Veronica Mars has accused me of evil! (twirls invisible villain moustache)
Common in early silent motion pictures, this gesture is often used by the villain, twisting his long mustache into sharp points as he laughed or plotted his evil plan. The gesture originates during the time when mustache wax was used to achieve the popular style of twisting the ends of a mustache into a tight, "handlebar grip" shape. It was also believed that this style kept bugs out of the mustache and beard. The gesture is replicated in many movies and cartoons as well.
