The title of the book Keith has brought to the Sheriff's office for stealing evidence, is the 1998 novel 'Those Who Trespass: A Novel of Television and Murder' by TV-personality Bill O'Reilly.
When Cliff McCormack explains to Wallace and Veronica what self-surrendering is, you can see a white cross on the window behind him, in the upper left corner of the screen, it's gone in the shot.
The first Karaoke singer is the same as the one in Season 2 Episode 3 ("Cheaty Cheaty Bang Bang"). Once again, his girlfriend is more impressed by the following singer than by him.
Spoon singer Britt Daniel appears, singing a karaoke version of Elvis Costello's hit song "Veronica".
Weevil: I need you to bug the confessional at St. Mary's Church.
Veronica: Um... I'm sorry, that's not on our menu. Maybe you should try 'You're Crazy' down the street?
Logan: (being offscreen) It's not just for him.
Veronica: Isn't this a very odd coincidence… Or, wait-- Are you guys, like, roomies now and he ate your peanut butter and now you're not speaking?
Logan: Funny you should bring up roomies, as I just lost one. I don't suppose you can help me find where Duncan disappeared.
Veronica: Ooh, sorry, one favor per customer.
Veronica: What you need in your life right now is a good lawyer.
Wallace: You know a good lawyer?
Veronica: I know... a lawyer.
Lamb: What do you mean by, 'it smelled'?
Dick: Dude, it smelled like the ass of something that died.
Lamb: And you can't say what it was?
Dick: I'm not like a professional smellologist.
Veronica: (to Logan and Weevil) So, this is sneaking? I've got a pantomime-horse disguise you could use. Do either of you have any experience being a horse's ass?
Wallace: All right. So that's good.
Veronica: Good? What, in the same way that Rashard is cool? Do you know what any words actually mean?
Logan: Look, Veronica, can you just once save my ass without comment?
Veronica: No. Because saving your ass with comment, it just... it works better for me.
Wallace: Look, you don't have to do this. I'll be fine.
Veronica: Please. Let me. My boyfriend just fled the country with his dead ex-girlfriend's baby. I need a project.
Wallace: Where have you been?
Veronica: Nowhere, but if God asks, I was with you.
Veronica: (Bugging a confessional) I am going to hell. It's that simple; I'm going straight to hell.
Priest: Confession hasn't quite started yet, but what makes you say that.
Teddy Dunn (Duncan) doesn't appear in this episode despite being in the opening credits.
Music:
