When a private website for Neptune High's gay students is hacked, and the members blackmailed, Veronica finds it difficult to track down the culprit when the victims want to remain anonymous. Meanwhile, Hannah finds out Logan's true intentions, and Keith believes he has found an alibi for Terrence.

I thought the gay students portion of the episode was a little bit of a reach for an episodic episode. I remember something a little like this in season one with a small group being singled out - I just don't think it was the gay group. To tell you the truth I felt Veronica's portion of this episode was the weakest of the three portions.

Logan is the character that you want to have his own storyline. Hannah being amazingly hot - challenging Kristin Bell hot - also doesn't hurt his cause. I've hated Logan's character ever since 2x02, but the acting job by his character is simply wonderful. Keith continues right where he left off at the end of the last episode (which I am a fan of) with helping Terrence. Veronica finding all of those explosives in the locker was a little bit of a stretch for me though. It's too early in the season for us to be handed the killer randomly like this and we just spent all episode trying to prove his not guilty...ness. We'll see where it goes.moreless
  • Kylie: I'm a lesbian... Veronica: That's cool. Kylie: Only when you're in college.

    7.5
A season 1-esque episode. An episodic case that was not really related to the overall plot and small advancement in the bus crash investigation.

Good, but you see, this was probably the weakest effort of the season thus far.But that's saying alot, because, well, this season has been stellar, and the worst episode earns a 7.5? Nice.

Loved the Logan/Hanna scenes, Logan confronting the doctor was intense. Keith trying to prove Terrance's innocence was also good, and that twist in the end was definitely, well, odd, and contradicts just about everything about Terrance - but probabgly that's why its cool.

Loved the Jackie / Veronica scenes they seem really nice together. No Weevil or Wallace this time, but it's okay(though the episodic case could've been better with them)

I thought while the outcome of it(the case) was unpredictable, it was very average. Not bad, not good, just.. average. Mildly entertaining. Veronica's case: 6/10

    Logan's storyline: 9/10

    Terrance: 8/10

    Misc: 8/10

    Overall: 7.5moreless

When a private website for Neptune High's gay students is hacked, and the members blackmailed, Veronica finds it difficult to track down the culprit when the victims want to remain anonymous.

Meanwhile, Hannah finds out Logan's true intentions, and Keith believes he has found an alibi for Terrence. Dr. Griffith: What are you doing with my daughter? Logan: You want the complete play-by-play? That's kind of twisted.
  • Veronica and Jackie bonding, robbing of pizza delivery guys and blackmailing of Neptunes gay students. Intresting!

    9.2
An idiot freshman (If I may say so) which hopes one day to become a PCH'er robs pizza delivery guys. One of them; a friend from an earlier episode, Marcos gay "whish he was my boyfriend" He had a list over members of a site, chat room for Neptunes gay students. It ends up with blackmailing.

Veronica riding with Jackie to Wallaces big game make their friendship ( if you can call it that ) grow, but then Veronica finds explosives in Terrence Cooks locker. Not good. My heart cried a bit under this episode, when Logan and Hannah still is dating. But my heart just jump when they had a fight. I thought this was the end of it, but no

When Veronica catches the idiot freshman she finds out that he is not the blackmailer. In the end it turnes out; the blackmailer is one of the gay students; Which just died to get out of the closet with her girlfriend. At the end scene when Hannah and Logan walks hand in hand down the hall and Veronica sees them, and understand Logans motives I almost fell of the chair of exitment; And then the end credits. Just canæt wait for next week!moreless
  • Someone is robbing pizza delivery guys and Veronica helps solve the case. Also the gay students are being blackmailed.

    10
Corny who is a pizza delivery guy gets ambushed and robbed. He recruites Veronica to help figure out who is robbing random pizza guys. Veronica also is on the case to help out the gay students of Neptune from being blackmailed, someone got a list of all the gay students on a website devoted to the gay students of neptune. Logan starts dating Hannah and Dr.Griffith confronts Logan about it. Keith has pictures of Terrence at a casino that is timestamped close to the time that the bus crashed, and also the casino has all cellphone signals blocked in and close to the building so he couldnt have done it.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • When Veronica is talking to Carmen, they are referring to the episode "M.A.D." (1x20) in which Carmen's boyfriend threatens her to unveil a dirty video he made of her.

    • This is the first time we get a closeup of one of the posters on the wall in Keith's office. It's a piece of "This Is Your God" works created by Shepard Fairey. He is better known for his "Andre the Giant has a posse" sticker (Andre's face can be seen in the star at the center of the poster) and created the artwork for The Black Eyed Peas' CD Elephunk.

The text of the poster is as follows:
"In lesser gods we trust This ransom note is worth exactly what you are willing to give in order to get it OBEY FEDERAL RESERVE CASH FOR CHAOS PROP. MANUFACTURING SUPPLY AND DEMAND THIS IS YOUR GOD OBEY
Capitalism without discretion is an ugly religion."

    • In the first scene, Corny pulls up to the curb and gets out of his car wearing iPod-type headphones. It is illegal to wear headphones while driving in California.

    • When Veronica Mars closed the door to Keith Mars' office, we can see that the name on the door read Keith Mars (not mirrored). In previous episodes, the name on the door is mirrored when viewed from inside the office, and not mirrored when viewed from outside the room.

  • QUOTES (16)

    • Mac: What's it [website] for?
Veronica: It's a... Neptune High gay chat room.
      Mac: Veronica, you're not...
Veronica: No! I'm just curious. (Mac stares at her) Curious as to what's posted on the website, more accurately.

    • Veronica: Dick, you totally nailed me.
Dick: Oh, man, so you're the fingernails chick from my New Year's party. (she gives him a nasty look) I did nail you. That's funny, I remember you taller and less uppity.
      Veronica: My car, just now.

    • Veronica: So, are we working for accused mass murderers now?
      Keith: (smiles) That's right.

    • Mac: Ryan asked me to beef up their security.
Veronica: Yeah? I work for Ryan too now, so if you could just—
Mac: So then why wouldn't he have let you on it himself?
Veronica: Damn you and your valid questions.

    • Keith: You don't remember anything you did in between five and eleven?
Terrence: Nope. You got something to say?
      Keith: You remember nothing?
Terrence: Where were you at 7:03 that day?
      Keith: I suppose I don't know.
Terrence: Well maybe you blew up the bus.

    • Jackie: My dad told me that you're helping out with his case. That means a lot. Especially since he's been convicted by half the people in Neptune.
Veronica: Well, luckily, it's the half that I don't like, so it works out.

    • Mac: (about Hannah) I'd be a willowy blond too if my dad was a plastic surgeon.

    • Arturo: PCH is back in charge, lady.
Veronica: Did you just call me 'lady'? (flexes taser)

    • Dr. Griffith: What are you doing with my daughter?
Logan: You want the complete play-by-play? That's kind of twisted.

    • Jackie: You can ride with me if you want. I realize it's no bus filled with rowdy towel-snapping jocks, but it'll smell better.
Veronica: I don't know. Um... do you have room for my giant foam finger?
Jackie: I do, and I can even drop you off around the block if you're worried about being seen together.
Veronica: Yes. Please, by all means, protect my reputation.

    • Carmen: Like people even remember my scandal anymore. Pleasuring inanimate objects was so 2005.
Veronica: Yeah, this year's all about pulling kids out of the closet.

    • Veronica: Jackie and I aren't exactly the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. She's not what you'd call huggable.
Keith: Whereas you warm right up to people? Hmm.

    • Kylie: Sorry to blow your mind, but I'm a lesbian, Veronica.
      Veronica: Oh. Well... that's cool.
Kylie: Only when you're in college.

    • Veronica: So are you ready to be the bait, Corny?
Corny: Hell yeah! No one's better. I'm what you'd call the 'master-bait'.

    • Veronica: We caught the mugger. He doesn't have the cranial resources to spell blackmail, let alone perform it.

    • Veronica: Why would a mugger want to 'out' sweet little Marlena?
Ryan: Because she didn't have the $5000 he demanded from her to stay 'in.'
Veronica: (sighs) Why can't the evil just get jobs like the rest of us?

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (5)

    • Lamb: Is this some kind of Jedi mind trick?

Jedi mind tricks is used in the Star Wars universe, and was first seen in George Lucas' original 1977 movie Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, when Obi-Wan used it on some stormtroopers.

    • Dick: You're like rich-dude kryptonite, Veronica.
Kryptonite, leftover space debris from the explosion of the planet Kryton, is the primary means of limiting Superman's abilities. While there are over 15 varieties of kryptonite, the most common, green, can kill him.

    • Veronica: Jackie and I aren't exactly the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. She's not what you'd call huggable.
The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants is a book series and 2005 movie about 4 best girlfriends who plan to stay connected by passing around a pair of secondhand jeans that fits each of their bodies perfectly.

    • Keith: You had me at gambler.
When Terrence Cook is talking to Keith Mars in his office, he starts to apologize in the same way Tom Cruise's character 'Jerry' apologizes to Renee Zellweger's character 'Dorothy' in the 1996 movie Jerry Maguire. Keith Mars responds with a refers to the beginning of Cook's statement, while the apology reference popularized in the movie was "You had me at hello".

    • Madison: Wow. That is so precious, Marlena, and you even made it rhyme. Just like an Indigo Girls song!
After reading Marlena's poem about being a closet lesbian, Madison compare her to The Indigo Girls. They are a folk-rock band in which both members, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray, are lesbians and active in the gay rights movement.
