Show Summary

Versatile Varieties originally was a live variety show filmed in a night club, and featuring guest performances by up and coming singers, comedians and entertainers. It was filmed between August of 1949 and January of 1951. It was emceed by George Givot, Harold Barry, and Bob Russell. The show reappeared in the fall of 1951 as a children's program that was emceed by Lady Irish Mountbatten, which featured a variety of children's stories and sing along numbers. The orchestra was regularly conducted by Bernie Sands, who accompanied major appearances by stars like Lon Chaney Jr, Peggy Ann Garner, Anne Francis and many others.
