  • This episode wasn't good in my opinion

    5.0
I thought that this was a medicore episode of Victorious. OK now Victorious has been really good lately but episodes like these ruin it. The storyline was ok. The jokes were ok (but some i laughed at) The Vice Principal dude was annoying and he was just doing child abuse. He wouldn't give them food or use the bathroom. Now i did laugh at when Tori shot a bow and arrow with her foot. Cat and Robbie hanging out with each other and Robbie chewing Cat's gum. But it gross when you go back and think about that. And on the note it said signed by the Breakfast Bunch then Rex put "even though we never had breakfast together." Now basicly everything else i didn't like about this episode. Now base don this episode season 3 isn't looking so good. Let's hope it isn't gonna be like this from now on. overall 5/10.moreless

The Breakfast Club is an actual 80's classic, but its parody here did a pretty good job of introducing the concept to a younger generation. It was funny, Rob Riggle did well as the disciplinarian here tonight, and the cast all performed well, even if there was a little bit of crossover between the characters they were supposed to be playing from the movie.

A well done episode though and a good start to the new season of Nickelodeon's best show.moreless
  • Well that was odd....

    (Spoilers ahead).

This episode is a parody of the movie The Breakfast Club, and even though they payed homage to the movie pretty well, it was a really weird episode. Pretty much every show that centers around or features high schoolers tries their hand at a Breakfast Club eppy at some point, and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It didn't really work here because it lacks the premise that the film has; a bunch of different kids who bond and get to know each other. But on Victorious, these kids are all friends; they've already bonded and know each other fairly well. This kind of plot worked on Degrassi because there were enough kids they could throw kids together who don't know each other that well. But in Victorious, where the kids are all friends, this kind of episode is just weird. Especially because they;re doing what the characters in the movie were doing, but they have no reason to be doing it. Like Tori does something and Jade barks at her something unrelated (I;ve only seen the Breakfast Club once so I can;t put into movie terms) and Beck frowns and asks, "Did I miss something?" And whenever the charatcers do something that they wouldn't do, but the brat pack would do they acknowledge it. And then there they are, randomly talking about if they;ll turn out like their parents. It;s a good idea, but on this kind of show it just doesn;t work.

This episode still wasnt all bad, like some of their references are pretty clever, like Jade is harassing Cat and Robbie for being vegans and Robbie tells her he doesnt want Tori to know he;s a vegan and its clear theyre substituting "vegan" for "virgin". And its pretty funny the teaching running detention is the cop from The Hangover. But still, a weird episode.moreless
  • A parody of the 1985 film "The Breakfast Club"

I thought that this was a superb episode of "Victorious". It wasn't really my favorite episode as it did have one thing that lowered my score a little but I still really liked it. First of all, I'm very impressed that Dan Schneider actually wanted to make an episode that is a parody of the 1985 film "The Breakfast Club" (good movie by the way.... watch it if you have never seen it). Anyways, all of the references from that film that were put into this episode was very impressive and I really liked it. The only thing that lowered my score a little was that some of the parts in this episode were a little annoying and most of the jokes felt dragged and a few felt like it went on forever especially the one near the beginning of the episode with them correcting that teacher about "I couldn't care less" thing. I hate it when this show and "iCarly" make a filler joke like that but at least this show really doesn't do that as much... it's mainly "iCarly" that does that which is mainly why I enjoy that show even less plus I find the characters in this show more likeable than "iCarly". So yeah, while most of the humor in this episode was really bland and lame. The storyline was well done with a parody of the 1985 film "The Breakfast Club" which is probably why my score isn't any lower than it should be. So yeah, I think I only laughed in this episode like 3 times and that's it. I love "Victorious" but the jokes in this episode were probably the most lame and most bad and filler jokes that I have ever seen from this show. Overall, a superb episode of "Victorious" with a well done parody storyline for "The Breakfast Club"... only problem was that most of the humor was lame and bland plus the characters were pretty annoying in some parts. 9/10moreless
