Victory Garden is television's longest running gardening show ' premiered on PBS Saturday, September 6, 2008. The show is hosted by international garden design sensation Jamie Durie and featuring Chef Michel Nischan's James Beard award-winning "Homegrown" cooking segments, The Victory Garden equips viewers with the confidence and inspiration to roll up their sleeves, get their hands dirty, and live outdoors. The newest season of The Victory Garden takes viewers on a coast-to-coast journey'from a Napa Valley garden of fruits, vegetables, and herbs modeled after the 16th-century Jardins du Villandry in France, to a Massachusetts farm that provides pristine produce to some of the finest restaurants in Boston. Each episode of The Victory Garden is hosted by Durie, and includes segments with Chef Nischan and beloved gardening correspondent Paul Epsom with six themes anchoring the new season'old, new, light, dark, soft, and edible. Season highlights include a community planting of traditional Victory Gardens at San Francisco City Hall where Durie will speak with San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom and renowned chef Alice Waters about the importance of connecting the planet to the plate.

    We like your shows BUT you must add some small gardens that are cared for by a home owner. The ones you show are too often large gardens on estates or foundations. Make a show about the gardens tended by a homeowner with only a city lot to care for. the score is 5 to 2
