Vinnie is a documentary that originally aired on BBC Three, a television network in the United Kingdom. It consists of 20 episodes and premiered on October 14, 2003. This series covers the transition of Vinnie Jones from soccer player to actor. Jones' playing career covers the years 1984 to 1999, where he is known for his extremely agressive play. This documentary shows a notoriouse incident in which Jones grabs the testicles of opponent Paul Gascoigne during a match. This series also covers Jones' first appearance on film in 1992 as the presenter of Soccer's Hard Men, a documentary on himself and other hard men in soccer. This appearance earns Jones a ¬£20,000 fine and six-month ban from professional soccer. Jones' first acting role is in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, a 1998 British comedy/thriller. Jones screen debut in an American film occurs in the 2000 action film Gone in 60 Seconds, in which he plays a tough brawler known as The Sphinx.
