The episode title was originally spelled "Val E. Wonka" but through a mistake on the show's official website the official spelling became "Valley Wonka".
Val: You know I'm no Angela Lansbury but your brother, Bernie, didn't seem very happy when he found out he had to share that with you.
This is a reference to the TV show Murder, She Wrote in which Angela Lansbury played an author who sidelined as a private investigator. The show aired from 1984-1996.
The episode title "Valley Wonka" is a take on the 1971 film title Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
