Julian Wilkes has taken a post in Washington.
Joe Astor is reassigned to Europe for a deep cover operation.
Cameron: I thought you didn't want kids, that you were afraid?
Carpenter: I was, but then I found out that, sometimes things we don't want are the things we need the most.
Carpenter: I worry about you, partner. Being a cop's a job, not a way of life.
Cameron: My father was a detective, I've got three brothers and two uncles with gold shields. This wasn't a choice, its a birthright.
Frankie: (to Allie) All I'm saying is, it takes a certain type to thrive in a military environment, a primitive beast-like quality. I don't possess these traits, but I can respect someone like yourself who does. It's become clear in the last few weeks that you have the natural instincts to excel in the business of destruction.
Allie: You got beat up a lot in high school, didn't you?
Frankie: Define 'a lot.'
Allie: Grab the 50 caliber and set it on the mount, will you? (Frankie hesitates) Is there a problem?
Frankie: I don't like guns.
Allie: I didn't ask you to marry it, Frankie!
(Cole is late and arrives with a pair of handcuffs on)
Allie: I don't even wanna hear it.
Frankie: I do. Blonde or redhead?
Cole: Officer.
Shelton: Women got no business out on the line.
Cameron: Oh, we all belong in the kitchen, is that it?
Shelton: Or the bedroom.
Cameron: You wouldn't know what to do with it if you had any.
Shelton: What's that?
Cameron: Well, the way I hear it, your wife thought so much of your technique, she ran off with the pool man!
Frankie: You don't know a lug wrench from a timing gauge, lady!
Allie: Listen to me, you frustrated little motor jockey...
Frankie: Who are you calling 'little', Olive Oyl?
Allie: It doesn't matter how fast we move. The Viper isn't going to hit the street until the local police give it the go.
Cole: And if that doesn't happen soon, there's not going to be anything left of this city to protect or serve.
Frankie: (to Cameron) I love this; the adrenaline rush of an impending confrontation; the total body surge of the unknown, it's great. 'Course I wouldn't feel so confident if it wasn't for your experience, Westlake. I mean, the fact that your superiors saw fit to assign you to this unit, well that speaks volumes about your competence. So just for the record, how many heavily-armed shoot-outs have you been involved in?
Cameron: A good officer rarely has to fire a weapon. But counting the bank?
Frankie: Yeah?
Cameron: This'll be two.
Dekker: (to Cameron) We've met before, the Necro Bank, you were in uniform. Why is it when the cops lose a battle, they always promote the survivors?
Cole: I want to see Frankie.
Dekker: This isn't a negotiation.
Cameron: Then why take a hostage?
Dekker: Makes the game more interesting.
Dekker: For twenty-five years I served in the military. I saw action in half a dozen major conflicts. I can't count how many dead I'm responsible for; and through it all I've never had the chance to look the enemy in the eye.
Cole: Life's a bitch.
Allie: Without testing, the chances of everything going off are about 50/50.
Cole: I can live with those odds.
Cameron: Or die with them.
(Frankie has been tied to the front of a fast-moving truck)
Cole: You okay?
Frankie: Yeah, soon as I scrape the bugs off my teeth I'll be just fine!
Frankie: (about the Viper's condition) I got a week's work here. Look at these scuff marks, its like you did a major tap dance.
Cole: Well, next time I jump on the car going eighty miles an hour, I'll take my shoes off.
This is Tim Thomerson's second appearance on the show. He previously appeared as a different unrelated character, Lyle Hinkle, in "The Face".
