Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light

Season 1 Episode 9

Horn of Unicorn, Claw of Dragon

Aired Saturday 10:00 AM Nov 16, 1987 on

  • Trivia

    • Grezgammon, especially before he flies down to attack Witterquick and Arzon, looks like Cravex in his phylot totem but he isn't since he's a lot bigger.

    • When Witterquick, Arzon, Cindarr and Lexor travelled to Merklynn's shrine, none one of them had their power staff with them. After Merklynn had dispatched them on the quests to retrieve a dragon's claw and unicorn horn, all of them were carrying their staffs. Later in the episode, all four of the staffs disappeared again.

    • Witterquick was the only Knight who used both his totem and power staff without getting the plague. This was due to his physical fitness.

    • Lexor indicated that Darkstorm and Mortdredd were infected by the plague, but neither of them appeared in the episode. Cravex, Reekon and Virulina were neither mentioned nor seen at all.

    • It has been a month since the events from "Lion Hunt."

    • The Wood Nymphs remained unaffected by the magical plague since they were magical creatures, not users of magic.

    • Cindarr and Lexor both sounded as though they were speaking underwater noticably before their heads drops below the waterline.

    • Despite the magical plague, Merklynn seemed to be unafected by it.

    • When Feryl and Ectar were carrying Cryotek, Ectar's magical totem vanishes for a moment from his chest plate.

  • Quotes

    • (As Lexor and Cindarr sneak up on a unicorn, but remain hidden in some bushes)
Lexor: This is going to be easy. Cindarr, turn loose your Power of Destruction. We'll pick up the pieces.
Cindarr: I don't know, Lexor. So pretty...and just for some horn?
Lexor: Cindarr, let me explain it to you: we're all going to DIE if we don't get that blasted unicorn horn!

    • Arzon: Dragons are proud and wonderful creatures.
Witterquick: Tell that to some peasant who's just had his village torched.

    • Merklynn: I'm sure this is all very chivalrous, but there are more important tasks for you than breaking up the furniture!
