Episode 1
AIRED:
Rhoda Bradley a busy mum of three who’s very frustrated by her job as a supermarket check out assistant, applies for promotion to the assistant manager’s job. But she knows that the job won’t be hers when she sees a younger, better looking candidate applying for the same role. When her daughter Lexie is rushed to hospital with severe abdominal pains, she talks to a medical student treating her daughter, discovering the existence a program for recruiting older people from ordinary backgrounds to train as doctors. This fires her enthusiasm to train to be a doctor. However, Rhonda's husband Tony is worried about the family's financial near-future, and her sister Maddy, who always wanted to be the family doctor and wound up as a nurse, is furious about her decision.moreless

Rhoda is willing to better her life in a very selfish way. She doens't like to be a cashier any more and in the end she watches herself becoming a doctor.

That's a big step which wont usually be happing in reality, but it's possible.

Her feelings and thoughts are clearly shown, so that everybody can find oneself within again. There is no huge difficulty for her to change her life, besides the risks which always comes along. So it seems a bit to easy for her to fulfill her dream.

From the first second on, there are these nice British accent and attitudes which guides you through the episode.

So we'll have wait for the second episode to see if this series is getting better and shows more drama than this one.moreless
