The pilot episode of the Japanimated series heavily edited to create Lion Voltron is nothing short of excellent. The episode draws you in from the very beginning. Unlike "Voltron: Defender of the Universe", this series is aimed more at adults. The use of vulgarity and scenes of graphic violence make this a series the kids should not watch. The dialogue is sharp, the action scenes are terrific and the characters are anything but shallow. When the explorers return to Earth to find it laid waste by nuclear war, you can actually feel their shock and sadness as they look upon the devestation. You will also be rooting for them as they risk their lives to escape their captors. This is just the beginning. The series just gets better with each episode. GoLion Gattai!moreless
