The comedic relief characters Scuzzy and Elmo would not end up appearing on the regular series. Scuzzy went through different names in the script phase, from Elvis to Cleetus!

The uncredited actress who plays Tao's daughter, Mia, would later appear in the second season Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episodes "Green No More" 1 & 2, as the Anti-Trini, the intended Yellow Dark Ranger. Her character trait of photography would be used for Kaitlin in the regular series.

A young black computer whiz kid named Mouse was also featured in the pilot. Elements of his personality would be transferred to J.B. in the series.

A full episode was never completed, but 10 minutes of footage was pieced together into a pilot presentation in November 1993. Due to Jason David Frank's overwhelming popularity as Green Ranger, he would have to resume his former role, while this show was retooled directly into what became VR Troopers.

Karl Ziktor's name is Cyrus Rikter here. Percy, instead of being the Mayor's nerdy nephew, is Rikter's son and karate rival of Adam!

During early script phase, the show was going to be called "Psycon". Even earlier, when intending to pitch it to MTV, the project went by the name of "Metalhead".
