The writers obviously wanted to do a story about peace between the whites and natives, but there are too many stereotypes for it to be truly meaningful. And even the best intentions in the world cannot withstand the cliched dialogue and severe miscasting. James Best, later of 'Dukes of Hazzard' fame, is seen here as a native leader and really does not do the greatest job concealing his white southern accent. Meanwhile, Robert Horton who is essentially the star of this episode, seems to be going through the motions. The best part of this offering would be the on-location battle scenes.
