Alex gets a nasty visit from an ex-sheriff, Baker, who she put in Huntsville for many years. Seems he is out again and has been thinking of Alex everyday that he was in prison. He gets his ex-cellmate to help him do horrible things to Alex, starting with breaking into her bedroom and throwing her lingerie all over the room along with photos that were taking of Alex. Walker insists on keeping Alex under constant surveillance following her to visit her horse and on a date (her date wasn't too happy). Later on Baker kills her horse (whom Alex said was her baby). Baker gets into the courthouse and kidnaps Alex. He takes her to the woods where he plans on hurting her then killing her. Walker figures out where they are heading and shows up to rescue Alex. On the way to a celebration for putting Baker back behind bars Walker takes Alex to her old stables where he has bought her a new horse.

Random fact: Alex mentions that she was married and divorced this is never mentioned again.

WAMMER: Alex is upset about her horse dying and rambles her whole life story to Walker, then questions why she does it. Also Walker buys her a new horse (she gets all teary eyed).moreless

    • Alex makes the comment that she has been married and divorced before. This is the only time in the series that this is ever mentioned. Edit

    • Walker gives Alex a horse at the end of this episode after that her horse Amber was killed. This is the first of two horses Walker gives Alex throughout the series. He also gives her one in "Second Chance" in season seven. Edit

    ADD NOTES
    • This is the first of Mark Walter's five, unrelated roles on Walker, Texas Ranger. He can also be seen in season two's "Rampage," season three's "Branded," season three's "Flashback" and season seven's "Code of the West." Edit
    • This episode's German title is "An der Grenze," which means "at the border." Edit

    • Alex: Cordell, sometimes you just amaze me. Walker: Well, Alexandra, the truth is, you're pretty amazing yourself. Edit
    • Timothy: Sure you won't have any wine, Walker? Maybe...one for the road? Walker: You'll be leaving before I will, Timmy. And I don't drink on duty. Edit
    • Walker: In the meantime, here's a restraining order. If you come within 300 yards of Alex Cahill, I'll put you back in Huntsville so fast you won't even know what happened. Dewey Baker: If you've got a problem Walker, it's in your head. Now why would I want to harm a pretty little thing like that? She changed my whole life around. Besides, if I wanted to hurt anybody, I could do it from a lot farther than 300 yards. Walker: Don't even think of it. Edit
