The bad guys are bad and there is no grey zone or room for them to be 1% good. Chuck is always playing the good guy. I remember an interview with Chuck where he says that he likes to play this super good guy who has no dark side because that's the way he wants to portrait himself.
My favorite movie from Chuck is "Hero and the terror". The title says enough, no? :-)
