Every once in a while Walker incorporates national and world events into their stories. This episode was actually a continuation of Flashpoint where and Irish ex-protestor is now fighting for peace in Ireland and against splinter groups of the IRA. McGuire, who is leading the peace talks in Ireland, has a daughter who is dying from leukemia and he chooses to get help for her in Dallas. This confuses me a bit, but hey if he wanted to get help for her in LA, the show wouldn't work. A splinter group of the IRA follows him to Dallas to kidnap his daughter and force McGuire to withdraw the peace treaty. Walker saves the day and the girl (twice once by organizing a bone marrow drive to find her a match and twice when he finds her at the kidnappers and rushes her back to the hospital). There is a happy ending when the bone marrow transplant was a success.

WAMMER note: Walker gives Alex another horse, this one names Angel. So sweet!!moreless
