  • THE BRONZING AGE

Warehouse 13 "All the Time in the World" Review: The Warehouse 13 Lonely Hearts Club Band

Season 4's penultimate episode contained some interesting reveals, and put us in a nice place heading into the finale.

    EDIT

After bronzing Claudia, Paracelsus escapes with the only artifact that can cure her, and the team has to hunt him down before it's too late. Meanwhile, Claudia's link to Warehouse 13 endangers the building and Mrs. Frederic.

    • Very much the same as the other penultimate episodes from the past seasons.

Very much the same as the other penultimate episodes from the past seasons. I have a feeling the finale will be pretty much the same as the last 3 finales too. Warehouse 13 needs something fresh and new instead of going as stale and musty as the artefacts.

      • Pete: Hey! Don't break her.
Artie: Yeah, thank god you said that, because, you know, breaking her was our big plan.

      • Artie: Password.
Charlotte: Year I was born. 1502.
Pete: I would have guessed 1508. What's your secret? Oil of Olay?

      • Steve: Are you okay? Over.
Claudia: You mean aside from being the Tin Man in a bronze production of The Wizard of Oz? I'm just peachy. What's going on? Where's Paracelsus and why am I melting?
        Steve: Well, technically, you're crumbling.
Claudia: I'm working a Wizard of Oz motif here, Steve. God, why am I gayer than you?

    • NOTES (2)

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      • Pete: I just figure he's some kind Lex Luthor, Joker, Dr. Doom mashup.
Referencing three famous comic book villains. Lex Luthor is the arch-nemesis of Superman, while the Joker is the Batman's opponent. Both characters are with DC Comics. Dr. Doom is the primary opponent of the Fantastic Four in Marvel Comics.

      • Claudia: You mean aside from being the Tin Man in a bronze production of The Wizard of Oz?
Referencing the famous book series, The Wizard Of Oz, created by Frank L. Baum, that was made into a movie in 1939. In the novel and subsequent movie, Dorothy Gale is literally blown from Kansas to Oz by a tornado, and tries to find a way home with the help of the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. The Tin Man wants to obtain a heart and so accompanies Dorothy to the city of Oz.

      • Pete: Not so fast, Senator Palpatine!
Referencing the evil emperor of the Galactic Empire in the Star Wars movies, portrayed primarily by Ian McDiarmid. A secret Dark Lord of the Sith, Palpatine maneuvers himself into power and convinces the Senate to grant him broad emergency powers, which he uses to overthrow the Jedi and become emperor. Initially an elderly man, his appearance degenerates further after a battle with Mace Windu.
