Warehouse 13 "The Sky's the Limit" Review: Up Up and Away

After a string of legitimately great episodes following the six-month mid-season hiatus, it was inevitable that Warehouse 13 would eventually hit a snag.

    EDIT

While Pete and Myka travel to Las Vegas to investigate a series of deaths involving falls from great heights, Claudia and Steve become involved in horse racing. Meanwhile, Artie tries to cope with the B&B's new manager.

The Sky's the Limit was a superb episode of Warehouse 13. I really enjoyed watching as Pete and Myka findreal magic Iin Las Vegas, Steve and Claudia go to the tracks and Artie meets the new B&B owner. There were many great character moments. The story lines were engaging. There was a little action and lots of drama. I liked how the various artifact stories played out. It was nice that Artie chose to help himself in the end. I look forward to watching what happens next!!!!!!!!!

Jinks & Claudia are off to England to investigate a horse racing scam where the jockey's gets drained of adrenaline & the adrenaline gets pumped into the horse. They find out who it is, as it turns out, its the stable boy named Ricky Jackson. The horses were being abused, the artifact is an old piece of blanket that belongs to Sitting Bulls. Pete & Myka go to Las Vegas to investigate levitation performed by a magician known as Monty The Magnificent who's assistant is his granddaughter & she has the artifact. It belonged to a 17th Century Friar, in the end they bagged the necklace. What or who is Charlotte Dupres working for & why is Claudia the target, if she was married to The Count, she has a couple of centuries on her. Well I Am Still Enjoying This Fantastic Show & With The New Cast Member Kelly Hu It Should Be Very Interesting. Thumbs Up. Enjoy It While You Can.moreless

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • Monty invites the agents to what he describes as a matinee show. However, later when the show is underway, he says, "tonight," not "this afternoon." Matinee shows occur in the afternoon.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Claudia: (after a horse scares Steve) What? I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing with the horse. (whinnies)

      • Myka: You know, his assistant, Rose, never told us that she lived here.
Pete: Ooh, nice. No wonder he's got a heart condition. Man, I hope I have a hot, young girlfriend when I'm his age.
Myka: Well, it's good that you have a five-year plan.

      • Monty: Sweetheart, I think I'm done.
        Rose: Gramps, don't say that.
Monty: Hmm, listen, adorable Rose. When your eyes go, you stop painting. When your knees go, you stop dancing. And when you can't do what you do best, you walk away with dignity.

      • Myka: You can't be out here in the open air.
Pete: Ah, come on, coach, it's the fourth quarter--don't bench me.
Myka: Pete, I left cookies in the glove compartment.
        Pete: Ooh.

      • Myka: There's no tricks here, Monty. The world is full of magic. Real magic.

    • NOTES (3)

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • Claudia: Let's go have a wee chat with Dr. Dollittle.
Referencing Dr. John Dolittle, the fictional character created by Hugh Lofting in a series of twelve books. Dolittle, a veterinarian, has the ability to speak to animals. The most recent film series updated the character from the early 19th century to the modern day, and featured Eddie Murphy in the first two movies before the character is succeeded by his daughter, Maya Doolittle.

      • Pete: It's "buying" the Stairway to Heaven.
Referencing the 1971 song Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin (misidentified by Myka as the Rolling Stones, since she says she isn't familiar with the song), released on the band's untitled fourth album. The song runs 8:02, meaning that it was never released as a single because the band refused to cut it down to fit.
