      • David: He's not too bad your Chief Inspector.
        Rachel: Good.
David: Are you sure he ties people up to the wharf and waits 'til the tide comes in?
Frank: I haven't heard that one before Dave. Tell me more.
        David: Mum said that!
        Rachel: [shaking her head] I didn't. I didn't.
Frank: Did she? ... I think I'll have to buy you a drink from the machine, old son.

      • Rachel: Just don't play up because it will be me who gets into trouble.
        David: Who with?
        Rachel: Chief Inspector Hawker.
        David: What will he do?
Rachel: I dunno. He'll think of something.
David: Like lock you up in a dark closet with rats and cockroaches?
        Rachel: Yeah, he might.
David: Or tie you to a wharf and wait 'til the tide comes in, and get you just before you drown?
Rachel: He probably wouldn't even come and get me!

      • David: You have to jump out of the way of the rats. Otherwise they nibble at you.
Frank: You know, that's how we used to get confessions out of people.

      • Rachel: It's okay, I'll stay.
Frank: Is that because you have more tact and sensitivity than I have?
        Rachel: Yeah.
