WCG Ultimate Gamer Season 1 Episode 1

I really like the idea of this show, but this episode failed to engage me as a viewer. I hope that future episodes increase in production value and find a better format. I think that the players should have been more evenly matched in genre experience to make the playing field more even and, in turn, exciting. I also think it is a bit strange that the winner of the challenge gets to pick to opponent for the loser. In this episode, the choice of opponent led to an unexciting and kinda sad conclusion to the episode. The person who got "Game Over" really didn't seem to deserve it and left me feeling like this is more of a strategy competition than a real gaming competition.
