    what the f$%# happen ?!?!?!?!?
this is the first review i ever written here . i made a new account just to describe what i feel about the first episode of the second season .
the first season of weeds was amazing . i loved it so much . every episode was original and you couldn\'t stop laughing .
but now it feels like the writers wanted more money because of the first season success,so they fired them all and got cheaper ones.
something was defiantly missing in this episode,i hardly laughed, and most of the time i was just sad of what have become of one of the best TV shows today.
i really hope that this was a one time thing a the rest of this season will be like the previous one.

As Nancy and Conrad prepare to move forward with their new business prospect numbers don't add up and they don't quite have the funds together. Celia decides to run for city council and dethrone Doug who is the current city councilman over a stoplight that she wants installed. I really want her to lose and Celia is a total jerk except for when she had cancer. And Peter falls deeper for Nancy and she decides to distance herself from him due to the consequences of her profession and Vanita sends Conrad to get a breast pump for her newborn son. Andy tries to get into rabbinical school to avoid the army and begs his recruiter to take him or he will die. Great start to a new direction for this incredible returning series.moreless

  • Doug and Celia come head to head over a council decision. Silas becomes more of a jerk than before. Andy is trying to get into Rabbi school to prevent him being drafted. Nancy breaks it off with Peter, has problems with Sanjay and Conrad.moreless

Doug and Celia get into verbal fisticuffs, after Celia has a perculiar accident at a spot that she has told Doug over on numerous occassions, Soug sticks to the council line regarding the issue etc and informs her that the budget is spent for the year, she decides that as it an election year, then she will fight Doug for his position.

Silas's character has a pretty rough set of circumstances to deal with and think that the acting of so much diversity is a good basis for the young actor, he has a very promising future for sure. His relationship with Megan makes me smile, cheer, cringe and it makes me wanna B***h slap him too, but that I think was done delibrately by the writers.

Andy tries hitting on anything in a skirt, even the administrator who deals with the applicants applying for the course, which he is purely doing to avoid being drafted, which is real funny as he would be dismissed or prevented from entry, when his urine sample tests positive for weed !!! LOL

Nancy is yet again in the thick of it, not talking to COnrad, having to dump Peter - just because he happens to be a DEA agent, then she also has to face it that Sanjay is probably doing more weed than he is selling !!!

It still remains refreshing to watch, the drugs and sex issues may offend some people, but then again if that's the case then they should just listen to the radio.moreless

  • Celia runs for city council and Nancy's bakery burns down.

Finally, Nancy takes charge. It took the whole episode but her decision to have a family dinner and actually forcing everyone to be present seems like a move in the right direction.

She needs to get in charge and teach Silas about responsibility and respect. The same actually goes for Andy, who's a basic freeloader if ever I saw one. Shane also needs to learn that he's just a kid and should follow mum's orders and perhaps this goes for Lupida too, even though Nancy's not her mum.

I liked the Peter relationship, I hope it continues as the Conrad thing clearly isn't going anywhere.

I loved Celia running for the council. Good on her!moreless

So, Ok I wait all summer for Weeds and what to I get THIS! FIrst of the entire 1st episode is 15 minutes of flashbacks! What is up with that! Then Malvina Renyolds stopped singing the song "Little Boxes" for the opening credits but the new guy sounds weird. For the little storyline it did have it was OK. But once again, It was too short. The coming episodes and this one are nothing ;like the 1st season! They did the same thing with HUFF! I love the first season! Lately they have made the storyline more interesting but it doesnt have the 1st season zing.moreless

  • Trivia

    ADD TRIVIA
    • In Season's 1 finale, Nancy gets out of bed, slips on a jacket, walks by the bathroom mirror, then comes back and turns on the bathroom light, revealing that the jacket she has on is a DEA jacket. However, in Season's 2 opener, which is supposed to pick up at that same spot, she walks past the mirror, then comes back to look at the jacket without ever turning the light on. We can barely make out "DEA" on the jacket in the dark. Edit
    • Goof: The coffee cup During the scene where Nancy is talking to Conrad, the coffee cup shifts from being on the table to being in Nancy's hand depending on the camera angle. Edit
