Nancy learns about the hole to Mexico.

This was a silly and out of character episode of Season 4 of Weeds. The show failed to address the "hole to Mexico" situation and was painfully anticlimatic. The rise of screen time for Celia also is getting annoying. Her presence is pestilential to the development of the show. Celia's equally as annoying daughter is detrimental to the popular Showtime comedy.

Doug and Andy's behavior in the episode was mildly amusing. While the plot was drole and the writing was weak, the concept of a bunch of aged men staring at foreign women's extremities and coming up with funny nicknames was amusing. Nancy was underutilized in this episode. We got none of her sarcastic humor, and absent were her clever one-liners. While she is a strong actress her storyline was way too serious for the usually silly Weeds program. When shows try to take themselves too seriously they often fail, and this is a quintessential example of that.moreless

If the above description made no sense to you, then you don't watch Lost. Hehe. Anyway, Great episode!

Now the fact is that Nancy is just like a cat(curious as hell) is quite entertaining.... so the underground tunnel is basically a tunnel leading to Mexico. What the problem is that I don't really like when Nancy is controlled by someone, and now, that seems to be the case(again).

I like it when she does what she wants to do, that always seems to bring the funniest and most entertaining storylines. Still, I have faith that the writers will make this work; hopefully better than they handled U-Turn.

Surely, the reveal of who the mysterious mexican man was a huge one, and definitely turns quite a few things upside down. I can already sense a huge showdown at the end of the season resulting in a gigantic cliffhanger.

The only issue I'm having wtih this season is Silas. But, generally,he's always the weak point of the show. I just don't care for his character at all, and now that he worked out his constant showing of his upper body is just pathetic. Though Lisa may make things better. I like Julie Bowen alot and her character seems rather interesting too.

Been a while since I enjoyed the Nancy / Celia dynamics, I'm glad it's back! Loved the little Dean we got. It's a shame he's reduced to be a guest star, Dean and Doug was priceless in the previous seasons.

Overall, solid installment! Nothing greatly outstanding, but constantly entertaining.moreless
