And so another episode of Weeds comes to an end and it comes via very low ratings. This show deserves more viewership than it got (less than one million) as this was a quality finale. Not great, but this show is more often than not not great, but a solid finale. We had some exciting moments in the airport, some very interesting and intriguing moments and some great scenes between the Botwin (or should I say Newman?) family.

Guillermo Diaz needs another show with a similar character as seeing him here reminded me of how awesome he was during season four.

Good way to end this year, but this should have wrapped up the show for good.moreless

    She is going to jail.wtf.

The rest of the family is on its way to europe...

I cant wait for the next season..it was also funny like in the last minute when she was being escorted out of the airport by the spanish dudes i could totally notice the 20 agents like tailing them...it was mad funny there was like 50 agents behind her by the time she got to the gates...

This was a good ep. It had xcitment and a krazy end... I just hope the nxt season comes quick...

  • Theoretical Love Is Not Dead

    9.5
Theoretical Love Is Not Dead was a superb episode of Weeds. I gave it a 9.5 because of the shock value of the ending and a few other great scenes. This episode wrapped up a lot of loose ends, and leaves things open enough to continue forward into the future. This episode was exciting to watch as Nancy wiggled her way through various situations now that Esteban has her. There were points in the episode which made it seem that every thing was falling apart and the family was going to be totally split up. I can't wait to see what happens next!!!!!moreless

Andy takes the rest of the family to the airport while Nancy resorts to Plan C. (Spoilers) hide

This was the best way for Weeds to end its season. After a three season arc involving Mexican drug dealers, corrupt Mayors and a new baby, the show seems to be placing this plotline to rest with this season and next season. When all is said and done, I really enjoyed this season, and whatever problems and flaws it may have had can be overlooked because of the simple fact that this season had more human elements in it than the last two seasons combined.

Andy, Shane, Silas and Mr. Schiff all prepare to go to Copenhagen while Nancy is forced to go to the airport to get Stevie with Estaben and Guerremo watching her every move. The plan is for Nancy to hand over Stevie to Estaban and then for Estaben and Guerremo to kill Nancy. However, Nancy and Andy seem to have an extra plan in place, in case something went wrong, and that's the mystery that leads up until the final moment. Nancy and Andy seem to understand what this "Plan C" entails, but boy, we're left in the dark right up until the last second, and it's a great little bit of trickery that Jenji Kohan plays on us.

Everything in between was pretty good too. Silas and Shane were excellent, as was Andy, and the scene on the plane where they sit there, knowing Nancy will not be returning, was superb. It was nice to see a scene where Shane Botwin was not psychotic and cynical. Instead, the prospect of living a life without his mother brought him crashing back to reality, especially since she's taking the fall for him.

That brings me to the final scene: Nancy gives herself up to the police claiming she killed Pilar. The cops surround her as she walks outside and she openly admits to it. This means she'll admit to everything, spill her guts about Estaban and he won't be able to touch her. Or will it? The show has left us on a huge cliffhanger, as usual, and who knows what will happen next. The finale was hilarious, touching and a much needed boost for a show that was starting to feel really, really stale.moreless
