This episode takes a look at someone many remedial teachers have to face puts it in the location of Buchanan High, and does a good job, as w/the smoking one, of telling the story in a fairly fresh way. It's hard, of course, to make it truly unique - but they at least managed to demonstrate how hard it is to make the jump from just learning about the situation to actually being there working witht he children every day. It's the kind of story that really isn't given justice w/24 minutes, because all you see at the end is the student teacher finding a way to get through to them - talking aabout who James Buchanan was. One gets the sense that the sweathogs grew a little, but personally it just wasn't satisfying with only a half minute at the end. I think with another appearance or two by this student teacher, showing some respect being gained on both sides, I would rate it higher.
