Episode Summary

Episode 2
The second episode in the series follows the lives of Chubbey, Paul , Kissme and Daniel who live on the waters of the Lagos Lagoon. Chubbey lives in a hut on stilts where he has the arduous task of supporting his eighteen children and five grandchildren. He has become somewhat of an expert at making money from the most unlikely of places, for example building a fish pond in his lavatory. Kissme and Daniel make a living through diving for sand. They collect sand by hand in an old iron bucket that they then sell on to the building trade to earn themselves a living. Paul is a saw operator at Ebute Metta, the largest timber yard in West Africa. His profession is extremely dangerous and many of his friends have died as a result meaning Ebute's money is used to fund the funerals. Unfortunately this entails that he is unable to save money in order to buy a house in Makoko. Until this becomes available to him he must continue to live in the saw mill.moreless
