Saul: Back in the '70s, this place was called Bacchus' Retreat. I remember one night Betty White was passed around like a tray of hors d'oeuvres.
Saul: (to Josh) No... You could be making time with that beautiful girl at the bar. But, instead, you're here in what can only be described as a total sausage factory.
Charlene: Heh, heh, heh. What a funny little purse.
Hope: Um, no... This is a DVD.
Saul: (to Josh) Hey! I did you a favor by crotch-blocking you with that girl. She was... she was not your soul-mate.
Josh: I'm nothing!
Marty: No... you are so not nothing. You... are Joshua Norman Flug.
Josh: That's not my middle name.
Marty: Eh... I took a shot.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
In the opening scene, Josh and Hope are in her apartment watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre on TV.
Dr. Phil
The nightclub bouncer lets Saul and his 'wrecking crew' cut to the front of the line because he thinks he is Dr. Phil (the TV psychologist who resembles Jeffrey Tambor) when Saul mentions that he works in TV.
The Fog
Charlene (Raquel Welch) tells Hope that she almost starred in The Fog by John Carpenter. In real life, Welch was up for the role, but Adrienne Barbeau got the part.
