  • Holly ditches school so she and Henry can spend the day together. Their plan fails, however, when Val's car goes missing.

Holly and Henry agree to ditch school so they can spend the day together having a picnic on the beach. When they come back, they find Val's car gone. Holly is afraid to tell Valerie about it, so she plays stupid, and makes Val believe the car was stolen. Val calls a detective to help her find the car, and is shocked and disappointed when she finds out the car was in an impound lot, and a picnic basket and Henry's jacket were in the backseat. She and Holly have a fight, but Holly loses when she discovers Val has been taking money from Holly, and her own paycheck to put in a college fund for Holly.moreless
  • Val seems to perfect.

I like this episode because it seems to be an adventure with Henry & Holly. Well only at the beginning. I love how they scheme together & Holly calls Henry her boyfriend! I love Jeff's new attitude towards Val, how he can do anything he wants without Val killing him. I also like Gary's surprise for Jeff, I like how Jeff mis-communicated & thought that Gary was hooking him up with another girl. This became a sister episode towards the end, they both fall to the floor, & Holly promises not to lie but of course does it in the next season. A flawless episode.moreless
  • Hilarious!

Holly and Henry ditch school and take Val's car without permission. It gets stolen, so Holly covers it up. Gary tries getting Jeff a new job, but Jeff misunderstands and thinks that Gary is setting him up on a date. Val finds out about Holly's mistake and they talk about it.

This episode was absolutely hilarious! I loved it! It was so funny! With Costco and pancakes as big as Holly's freaking head and everything! It was so funny! Henry is so cool! I don't know why I like him so much! I give this episode a 10 out of 10!moreless

  • TRIVIA (5)

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Holly: Dad already puts away money for college.
Val: Yeah, for tuition, same as he did with me, but I still had to work an extra job in a shoe store so I'd have spending money. The reason I've been putting $50 in your account every week--
      Holly: IT WAS 50?!?!?!?
Val: 20 from Dad, and.....30 from me.
      Holly: What?
Val: I want college to be a good experience for you. I don't want you to have to worry about money. So I've been putting in a little each week, too.
Holly: (feeling bad, collapses on floor) Oh my God!
      Val: What?
      Holly: You are so good!

    • Detective Clark: Is this your sister?
      Val: Yeah
Detective Clark: (to Holly) Good luck

    • Gary: You lose your girlfriend, you lose your job... nobody's looking, you want a hug?

    • Val: You lied to me about everything. You lied to me about my car being stolen! (gasps) You lied to me about Costco!

    • Holly: I've been thinking about how I'm going to pay you back, and I think I should start taking twenty dollars out of my allowance every week. Do you think that's a good amount to take out of my allowance every week? Twenty? You know, I was thinking it could be ten or fifteen, but twenty is just such a nice, round number. To take out of my allowance. Every week.
Val: Holly, is there something you'd like to tell me?
Holly: Jeff told me you've been skimping money off my allowance every week. That's my money, and you took it without telling me! That's a lie!
Val: Holly, it wasn't a lie--
Holly: Dad sends me sixty dollars every week, and you only give me forty? That's twenty dollars of lie every week! I don't know if I can trust you anymore!
Val: Holly, do you seriously think that what you did and what I did are the same thing? I put that money away each week for you, in your checking account. You know why I didn't tell you? So that when you get to college, you'll have a nice surprise, and you'll have money in the bank!

    • Holly: Horrible, liar. I'm a bad seed!
Val: You are not a bad seed.
Holly: Yes, I am. I should be put on an island where I can do no harm!

    • Holly (to Detective Clark): Good job, I'm glad to see my tax dollars at work!

    • Holly: I really wanna bring up my grades! God, Val!

    • Holly: Ohh, I had my heart set on the beach! Man, that's where I pictured us!
Henry: Ooooh, you've been picturing us, huh? In these pictures, do I know what I'm doing, or am I confused?
Holly: Put it this way... when I look at the pictures, I blush!
Henry: I will carry you to the beach!

    • Holly: Val takes $20 a week out of my allowance?
Jeff: Ohh! You didn't... aw, man! Val's gonna kill me! Hey... wait a second, what's she gonna do, break up with me again? She keeps the bankbook in her underwear drawer! Yeah, I been in there! You can tell her that too!
