What do you think of Amanda's twitter announcement that she's retiring from acting? I think she's pretty good at the whole slapstick comedy thing, but as she's gotten older she hasn't really grown as an actress. I guess if she's happier doing something besides acting then the entertainment industry isn't exactly going to have a big void to fill.

If she did the whole thing for publicity then I think it backfired. People still don't know who she is, and if they do they now think she's a flake. Her entire child/teen acting years she was the star of every project she has done (except All That, that was more of an ensemble). Maybe she is having a hard time now accepting that she isn't leading lady material.

She may need to follow what the other actress named Melissa Joan Hart is doing right now.

No, move on to another show and WILAY has to go off air.

WILAY ended in 2006. What year are you in?

I don't think WILAY needs to be off the air for a new Amanda show to be successful. Sabrina still re-runs and is actually used to get more viewers for Melissa Joan Hart's new show. Melissa & Joey re-runs air once a week after Sabrina.

I do think Amanda would be much more successful on the small screen, but maybe she doesn't want the commitment of a weekly series. Who knows.

I know. But this is 2010, but Amanda has to move on into new projects and let WILAY go off air.

Oh so you do know we're in 2010 then? I was worried for a moment there. Anyway Amanda should be glad she still has shows on TV, it gives her more publicity and will help her get better roles.

She will do better in a next series after WILAY ended.

    It's her decision.

Actually, let's put it this way. Amanda is not retiring and she's moving on to a new project. But after she moves on to a new project, What I Like About You will have to be taken off air forever. Nobody likes What I Like About You anymore.

You might be the only one liking this show, but this show is not likeable to former fans watching it.

Really?! You speak for all fans/former fans of what I like about you? Okay well it doesn't change my opinion.

I'm not the one who speak for the fan and former fans. We all used to like this show, but afterwards, the show went downhill for several reasons:

    1) They eliminated Simon Rex, who played Jeff after season 1.

    2) They replaced him, with new and dumb actors and actresses and their characters.

    3) The jokes and humor and getting corny.

    4) The sex and vulgar are increasing like crazy!

I'm glad they stopped this show after 86 episodes in 4 seasons. Besides, Wesley Johnathan, who played Gary Thorpe, was a better actor of this show than the rest of the cast. All they need to do is let Amanda move onto a new project and takes this show off the air again and immediately!

You know what? You're entitled to your opinion but in my life with my experiences and personality I thought Simon Rex's character was ridiculous and corny. I liked the show much better from second season onward without him. I loved the characters AND actors/actresses after this season: Alison Munn, Michael McMillan (though he was also from first season), Leslie Grossman (who is utter awesome), Nick Zano and especially last season's Dan Cortese. I really liked their crazy characters and thought they were relatable. I thought the subject of sex was handled hilariously but tastefully. There was nothing but smooching and making out on What I Like About You. There were no sex scenes. So when you say it's vulgar, I'm not quite sure what you mean and think it is a matter of subjectivity.
