There used to be a veterinarian's office on the spot of that restaurant that Val and Holly went to, B-91.
Running Gags:
1) Eugene telling a tale about his beloved dog, Waffles, who passed away when Gary was in his class.
2) Holly and Val keep talking about wingmen.
Val loves Meryl Streep movies.
Holly took her first steps when she was one year old, when Val and her were watching "Out of Africa." When Meryl Streep said her first words, Holly crawled off Val's lap and took her first steps.
Val is revealed to have a tendency to spend quality time with Holly by making her do what she wants to do.
Val is really good at pool.
Eugene: Gary's old eight grade teacher who made his life miserable but is now working at the restaurant.
Hunter: A cute guy who plays in a band. Holly saw him play once but was too shy to talk to him. He cheats on his grilfriend, Sasha and he has a nice butt.
Goof: When Hunter's ex-girlfriend, Sasha wants to fight with Val, Val says, "Who are you, Leather Tuscadaro?" When Sasha doesn't know who Leather is, Valerie says that she is Pinky's cousin from Happy Days. But in the show, Pinky and Leather were sisters not cousins.
Val: (about a guy Holly likes) What's he like?
Holly: I don't know, I've never even said two words to him, but I've already named our children. Pretty stupid, huh?
Val: Nah. When I was your age, I felt the same way about George Michael. That didn't end well......
Sasha: I heard you were mackin' on my boyfriend!
Val: What? Okay, two things. One, who are you, and what's "mackin?"
Jeff: So what are you guys gonna do this weekend?
Val: Well, I've decided to spend a little quality time with my sister.
Holly: Yeah. We haven't really decided what we're going to do yet.
Val: Yes we have. A Meryl Streep film festival!
Jeff: Another one? Didn't we just have a Meryl Streep film festival?
Val: Just her comedies.
Jeff and Holly: Those were comedies?
Val: Tonight, we will be screening 8 of her most dramatic roles. (to Jeff) You know, we probably still have time to pop one in really quick, if you're interested.
Jeff: Oh, um, you know, the security at the airport is really tight. They want you to get there, oh, 8 hours and 50 minutes ahead of time. Gotta go!
Henry: Hey, Holly, right? I'm Henry, from the Gent's room, I didn't whiz.
Val: Is this one of those bars when you get on top of the table and take off your bra? Cause if it is then I need to put on a nicer bra.
Holly: (looks under Val's shirt) No, you're good!
Jeff: Hey, guys.
Holly: Hey. I thought you were at a convention in Minneapolis.
Jeff: Eh, I'm gonna take a later flight. I just wanted to spend a little extra time with my lady. (hugs and kisses Val)
Holly: (to Jeff) Could you not do that right now? My lady was making a grilled cheese for my belly.
Val: So...I heard that butt-crack is the new clevage.
Holly: Yeah. But you can't keep your money in there!
Holly (to Sasha): She didn't hit on your boyfriend! Now, I know it's easier to blame her, but the bottom line is: your boyfriend's slime! I'm sure this isn't the first time he's cheated on you and it's probably not gonna be the last! So grow up and deal with it, Sah-sha!
Holly (shouting to some random people): So the bottom line is: no matter what she does or what she says, never ever trust your wingman!
Val: We'll talk about it.
Holly (interrupts): I don't wanna talk to you right now, I am devastated! I'm devastated!
Val: I understand you're upset.
Holly: Devastated!
Holly (to Gary): 'Kay, I know math's not your best subject, but let's see if you can follow this: angry waiter + your food = angry waiter's loogey in your food!
Holly (quickly to Hunter): Don't you touch those balls till I get back!
Holly (to Val): You're officially my new wingman! You are ten times better than Gary! When he does it, he just nods in my direction and says, "Check out that ass!"
Val: Man, I banged the nine off the rail and it slipped the six and the two!
Holly: Yeah... I don't know what you're saying?
Val: A nine! Should I kiss the floor or knock it to the side?
Holly (slowly): I don't... know what.... you're say-ing!
Val: I think you need a wingman.
Holly: You know about wingman?
Val: Of course... I also know that butt crack is the new cleavage.
Holly: Yeah, but you can't keep your money in there.
Jeff: Where m'lady? (kisses Val)
Holly: And I'm screwed!
Holly: Would you make me a grilled cheese sandwich?
Val: Why can't you do it?
Holly: 'Cause it tastes better when you do it... and you're pretty!
Val: She has sentimental value! I've told you this story before. You were like a year old, and you were sleeping on my lap. We were watching TV, and "Out of Africa" was on. And as soon as Meryl Streep said her first words, you woke up, crawled off my lap, and took your first steps!
Holly: Awww! Was I trying to get out of the room?
Val: (in the men's room) Oh God, this is so not the place for open-toed shoes!
