Episode Summary

EDIT
EPISODE #173
AIRED:
Game 1: Mr. Thayne Robertson - "Makes Wooden Indians" (self-employed; because of his first name, John said he must have some Scotch blood, and Thayne replied "some"; during his game, a propeller airplane can be heard passing overhead; from Boise, ID)

Note: An unusual occurrence happened with this first game. The game ended when the score was at $25 and the line was not fully guessed. Later in the program, immediately before the mystery guest round, John announced that Mr. Robertson was going to receive the full $50 prize. John explained that the panel had not fully discerned the guest's line. It is unknown whether the producers, on their own, decided to award the prize, or whether the payment was made in response to a complaint lodged by the contestant. - Suzanne (2008)

Game 2: Mrs. Elfrieda L. Fritz - "Repairs Zippers" (self-employed; from an "inaudible town" - because she spoke so softly - which she described as being "outside of Buffalo," NY)

Game 3: Wally Cox (12/6/1924 - 2/15/1973) (as Mystery Guest)

Game 4: Mrs. Jeanne P. Schikowski - "Justice of the Peace" (salaried; she is not a lawyer; from Huntsburg, OH) . .moreless
