    • REVIEW: The panel had a particularly rough evening. However, it was tempered by the fact that the previous day, Steve walked down the aisle with the woman he would be blissfully attached to for the rest of his life, Jayne Meadows. As for the games themselves, the panel was totally stumped by the first contestant who ran Grant's Tomb. They also were stumped by the man who ran beauty pageants. To look at him, it would be hard to believe that he had anything to do with them, as he seemed slightly unsophisticated. The panel finally got on track and had good luck with Steve's lovely bride Jayne, aka "Minnie Mouse" on this episode. Ironically, it was Arlene, not the groom, who guessed that Jayne was the mystery guest. Unfortunately, the panel reverted to form as they ran out of time with the dog psychologist, and he wound up winning the full prize by default. At the end of the broadcast, instead of saying their usual good nights, the panel "barked" their farewells for the evening by imitating dog barks. That was definitely a first for WML. It almost looked as if John was going to bark too, but then he didn't. - Sargebri (2005)

STEVE AND JAYNE: When John wished that Steve and Jayne would have a long and happy marriage, little did he, or anyone else, know that the happy couple would be married for 46 very happy years until Steverino's passing in October of 2000. At the time of their marriage, Steve was nearing the end of his run as a regular on WML, while Jayne was a panelist on another Goodson-Todman show, "I've Got a Secret," where she would remain until 1959. Ironically, in 1964, Steve would take over as host of IGAS after the retirement of that show's host, Garry Moore. In later years, Jayne would become a frequent guest panelist on WML, especially during the final two years of the show's run. - Sargebri (2005)
