    • REVIEW: Excuse the pun, but the panel batted .500 this evening. In the first game, the panel did determine that Colonel Hamblet was a member of the armed forces, but they were unable to correctly guess that she was the Commandant of the Women's Marine Corps. After the game, it was announced that the colonel's winnings were going to the Navy Relief Fund. In the second game, guest panelist Peter Lind Hayes pulled a shocker when he almost - out of the blue - identified the line of the second contestant, which was that of a dentist. In fact, this was the first time he made a correct ID in any of the regular games. He did make the correct guess of his wife Mary Healy the previous week, but that was in the mystery guest round. Speaking of the mystery guest round, Peter also correctly identified the evening's guest, Peter Lawford. During the post game chat, they briefly mentioned Peter's brother-in-law, the then current Senator from Massachusetts, John Kennedy. Unfortunately, the panel ran out of time in the final game, so the two bat boys won the full prize by default. - Sargebri (2005)

As was mentioned earlier, this was the first appearance of Eamonn Andrews on the American "What's My Line?" panel. Not only was it his first time on the show, but it was his first time on American television. In addition to appearing several more times, he also would appear occasionally on another Goodson-Todman show, "To Tell the Truth." In fact, Eamonn filled in for John on one occasion when John was on vacation. In 1963, Eamonn became the head of the fledgling Irish Broadcasting Company. - Sargebri (2005)
