WIn the first game, Arlene asked the auctioneer if she had anything to do with the training of animals. The guest misunderstood as did John. They thought Arlene had said "trading" of animals and when they asked, Arlene, sensing she might be able to get a yes with a change, said she had said "trading". ithout Bennett Cerf, the show is less stellar. I will say that Ben Gazarra is a good fill in although I wish he hadn't been smoking. He plays the game well, and unlike some guest panelists, does not call attention to himself. Martin Gable finished his four-week stint filling in for Bennett and, as attested by John Daly, did a fine job. Martin takes the game seriously.
As I watched this episode, I wondered if there are any plans for a movie about Peggy Lee, tonight's mystery guest. Reese Witherspoon is a real look-alike and would do a great job.
