  • Notes

    • (1) "LIVE" WATCH: This is the 47th known surviving "WML?" kinescope of a live broadcast in which the word "live" was taken out of the intro.
      (2) DOUBLE TRIBUTE: GSN skipped this episode on January 1, 2007 to air two episodes of the syndicated color version of "WML?" as tributes to former President Gerald R. Ford who died on December 26, 2006, and "The Godfather of Soul," James Brown, who died on December 25, 2006. Both episodes were hosted by Wally Bruner. The first episode shown had Mr. Ford, then the House Minority Leader, as the mystery guest. This show was from Week #48 of the syndicated series, taped on August 28, 1969, and the panel consisted of Gene Rayburn, Brenda Vaccaro, Joanna Barnes and Bennett Cerf, back in his old anchor position from "classic CBS" days. Interestingly, while John Charles Daly was always known as the "panel moderator," Mr. Cerf introduced Mr. Bruner as the "emcee." The second show, from Week #21, recorded November 19, 1968 and with Mr. Brown as mystery guest, featured on the panel Soupy Sales, Phyllis Newman, Gawn Granger and Arlene Francis. This latter show was produced by Bruno Zirato who apparently was filling in that week for longtime "WML?" producer Gil Fates. - W-B (2007)
