  • Notes

    • In a strange case of premonition, Robert Goulet states his concerns over singing the "Star-Bangled Banner" before the Ali-Liston rematch. He stated that many performers make mistakes with the lyrics to our national anthem. Goulet admitted that he was nervous about singing the song and John Daly agreed that it was a difficult song to sing. Goulet's concerns were well justified, because in one of the most famous flubs in history, Goulet forgot the words as he was singing! For years, he was not able to live this down. Also, Tony Randall made mention of the fact that he held the record for most "no" answers at seven. However, tonight he really shined! He guessed that the first contestant had something to do with childbirth, but that was nothing compared to the what happened with the next contestant. After Dorothy had finished asking her questions, Tony innocently asked if the contestant made glue and he was correct. He was totally shocked when he found out that he made a correct guess. After the show, John Daly told Tony that a special "Yes" medal would be waiting for him. - Sargebri (2004)
