    • Happy Halloween!!! The ladies were the definite stars this particular evening. Arlene didn't even let the monotone pumpkin grower get past her, as she nailed him all by herself. She basically guessed him after her first couple of questions. Dorothy did well herself, essentially guessing that the second contestant was a porpoise trainer. The only hiccups this evening were with Andy Griffith and the female stockbroker. After the mystery guest round, Andy mentioned that this was the furthest he had ever gotten without someone guessing him. Baffled, Steve made a couple of very wrong guesses when he thought that Andy was either Steve Lawrence or Joey Bishop, due to the fact that he thought Griffith had a Brooklyn accent. Griffith had just started the sixth season of his popular 1960 to 1968 series. This would be the first season that his show would be seen in color. The previous 1964-1965 season was the last in black and white, and it was also the final season with Don Knotts in the cast as "Barney Fife." After the change to color and the departure of Knotts, many of the show's long time fans thought that the quality had gone down. The panel didn't guess the female stockbroker because they ran out of time, but no matter what, it was still an exceptional performance. - Sargebri (2004)
