    • REVIEW: This not only was a night in which the panel had a good performance by going 2 for 3 for the evening, but it also was a very fun night as well. Things got started before the first game when Bennett unleashed one of his worst puns ever and that set the tone for the night. In the first game, which was a mystery guest round, Arlene correctly identified legendary opera singer Leontyne Price. Miss Price was on the show as a celebration to promote the new Metropolitan Opera house, which opened the previous week. She also related a very funny story about how her brother, who had just gotten promoted to the rank of Lt. Colonel in the Army, tried to upstage her by wearing his beautiful white full dress uniform to the opening. In the second game, which was a regular game, the panel was absolutely stumped by the 90 and ½ year old caddy. However, they didn't mind losing and, as a sign of respect, both Arlene and Phyllis stood when they shook the gentleman's hand. In the second mystery guest round of the evening, Phyllis correctly identified former WML guest panelist Peter Ustinov, who she said had a beard and a very cute face. Peter was on the show primarily to promote his new book. During the post game chat, he related his various sailing adventures with his family, including a very interesting trip to the then-communist nation of Albania. This definitely was a very fun night. - Sargebri (2008)

THE MET: As was mentioned in the post game chat with Leontyne Price, she had performed at the opening of the new Metropolitan Opera house. The Met would eventually become one of the cultural centers in all of New York. However, in June of 1970, the Met played host to an opera of a different kind as The Who played their legendary rock opera "Tommy" in its entirety. - Sargebri (2008)
