Something I've been trying to pin down -- I haven't quite got it figured out yet, though -- the way the contestant's occupation is given in the occupation overlay screen. See, as the thread title demonstrates, sometimes they might put "makes saddles" and then another time they might put "saddle maker." Or today, they had "fire eater," but they could have put "eats fire." I'm having trouble coming up with any consistency on it, if there ever did get to be any (sometimes it switches even within the same episode!) and I was wondering if anyone else could shed any light on this.

The reason this could be is because they may need a little variety. If they ended everything with Maker, or -er, it would get quite tire-some. I know in some of my past writing classes, there has been some criticism with using the same word or even format to remind you of a word, it needs not to be repetitive.

Yeah, that makes sense, that they were purposely aiming for variety.
