That long list of episodes is the guide that should be used by officials of GSN and Fremantle Media. That doesn't mean they will use it, however. They could be overwhelmed by the Writers Guild strike. And certain famous people who appeared on "What's My Line?" haven't died yet. Their deaths will disrupt the rerun cycle. Episodes that haven't been rerun for three years could get skipped yet again.

Is there a list of the "lost to history" episodes? I know only 9 episodes (11 if you count those in private collections) exist prior to episode #112.

If you check the WML episode list for season's one and two on this site you can see all the missing episodes and who the mystery guests were on those shows.

This is good info, and now that we're going back to daily airings, somebody should start posting the schedule again.

GSN never has shown the April 29, 1951 episode because only one copy exists in a private collection. Constance Moore substitutes for Arlene Francis on the panel, and Hedda Hopper is the mystery guest.

Out of the total of 876 episodes produced between February 1950 and September 1967, there are approximately 116 "lost to history" episodes. About 100 of those fall between February 1950 to July 1952, when Gil Fates noticed and stopped the systematic destruction process. The remaining 16 "lost to history" episodes fall between March 1953 to July 1967. I have the data, and it is entered in TV.com, but I have never prepared an "official" list. In addition, the series was preempted 25 times. Hope this helps, Suzanne

In addition to the April 29,1951 episode already mentioned the Museum of Radio & TV has two other "Lost" WML episodes that aired before July of 1952. Both of those episodes are available for public viewing at either the NY or LA museum locations. Plus at least one post 1952 episode (With Lucille Ball as the MG) exisits and is sometimes offered for sale on E Bay fairly inexpensively.
