    • TRIVIA (2)

    • QUOTES (7)

      • Daphne: Golf is such a graceful sport.
Velma: Give me hockey any day. Skating with the fear of being clobbered into the ice. Now that's graceful!

      • Mayor Smith Snipper: And I would've ruined it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids.

      • Daphne: How about you Velma? Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?
Velma: Please, I'm scared. Not desperate.

      • Shaggy: I've got to hurry up and solve this mystery before they cancel the tournament.
Velma: And like, I've got to hurry up and find the nacho machine before they cancel nachos.

      • Shaggy: Looks like I've got this mystery just about wrapped up. Let's set a trap!
Fred: Good idea. Let's set a tr... Hey, what just happened?
Daphne: I think the bigger mystery is where's the real Shaggy?

      • Fred: So I took the netting from the batting cage and hooked it to the windmill. Shaggy, you'll...
Shaggy: ...Turn the windmill on high by putting my ball at the on and off switch way up there!
Fred: Look! You can do the whole "solve the mystery" thing, but I make the traps.

      • Daphne: Velma, how'd you know?
Velma: I don't know anything. I've been eating cotton candy and hanging out at the batting cages.

    • NOTES (8)

      • During the flashback sequence, which shows the characters in Velma's birthday party, you can see that Daphne is wearing a purple dress. This is an animation error, because in the A Pup Named Scooby-Doo series, Daphne always wore a pink dress.

      • In this episode it is established this show in continuity with A Pup Named Scooby-Doo when at a Putt Putt golf tournament Scooby and Shaggy entered they come to a hole that has a giant clown head for which the ball can go in. In the flashback there is a clown torturing Velma and wrecking her birthday presents and she gets upset. And back in reality she's shaking in fear, having remembered what had happened years earlier. The flashback is done in the same animation/drawing style as A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.

      • One of the episodes where the culprit wasn't taken in custody in the end.

      • Velma's clown fear stems from a party clown showing up at her fifth birthday party and shredding up her prized gift, a set of encyclopedias. Velma runs off crying.

      • First aired on Cartoon Network: May 9, 2005

      • Villain: Mayor Smith Snipper. Reason: To get revenge on mini-golf for his son.

      • This episode has Shaggy and Velma in a role reversal; Shaggy is brave and Velma is cowardly due to her fear of clowns.

      • Velma has a clown phonia.
First Time For: Shaggy goes with Freddie & Daphne
First Time For: Velma goes with Scooby-Doo!
Fun Fact: A flashback to Velma's early years is done in the style of "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo!".

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Cougar Forest: An obvious reference to celebrity golf champion Tiger Woods. Notice the use of the names of a large species of wildcat and an area densely populated with trees.
