The Internation Putt-Putt Tourment is treated by its own 18-th hole--and MONSTER-style Clown--but that is good and bad news for Mystery Inc. on the screen. The bad news, the genius of the gang, Velma, has a clown phobia--but good news is that Norville "Shaggy" Rogers is ACTING BRAVE! Holy reservals, Scooby-Doo! Can the gang solve the mystery and get the regular Velma and Shaggy back?moreless
For this episode Velma & Shaggy swap personalities for example Velma goofed off when searching for clues & Shaggy doesn't run away from the monster!
Edit
The song played during this episode's chase scene is "Something Special" by CIV.
Edit
During the flashback sequence, which shows the characters in Velma's birthday party, you can see that Daphne is wearing a purple dress. This is an animation error, because in the A Pup Named Scooby-Doo series, Daphne always wore a pink dress.
Edit
In this episode it is established this show in continuity with A Pup Named Scooby-Doo when at a Putt Putt golf tournament Scooby and Shaggy entered they come to a hole that has a giant clown head for which the ball can go in. In the flashback there is a clown torturing Velma and wrecking her birthday presents and she gets upset. And back in reality she's shaking in fear, having remembered what had happened years earlier. The flashback is done in the same animation/drawing style as A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.
Edit
One of the episodes where the culprit wasn't taken in custody in the end.
Edit
Cougar Forest: An obvious reference to celebrity golf champion Tiger Woods. Notice the use of the names of a large species of wildcat and an area densely populated with trees.
