They were great. My favorite moment from them is when they broke off from some other part of a tune and sang, "And now we'll name the seven continents! / In no particular order!" They could be just as funny as the rest of the show.

I agree! They were my favorite part of the show. I remember they never talked on the show, but rather spoke in harmony. For example, Greg would say "Thanks, Rockapella," and the group would sing "You're welcome!" They were so much fun.

You know, they're still singing across the country. The line-up has changed some over the years, but they're as much fun as they ever were. You can check them out on www.myspace.com/rockapella or at their official site www.rockapella.com. I love their music, and the nostalgia from th tv show theme song always makes me smile!

Yeah, the most noticable change is the absense of big bass man Barry Carl, who was replaced by a fat black guy named George Baldi. Mind you, he is still very good, but doesn't have the vocal presence that Bear had when he was in Rockapella.

Agreed. And Sean was great in the lead, braids or not.

It sucks that on the other CD (there was a lesser known one), that they only had one song, while Greg had 4 (actually 6, but one was with a group, and the other was only a 30+ second disclaimer about the following song). Here's a link to it from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Carmen-Sandiego-Out-This-World/dp/B000001L83/sr=1-2/qid=1171818639/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2/102-5235131-4708143?ie=UTF8&s=music

But whenever we think of the "World" version of the series, the main theme that springs to mind is the original Rockapella version.

The original version, IMO, is better: http://www.monkeymolestor.com/random/Rockapella%20-%20Carmen%20Sandiego.mp3.

What does my comment about George have to do with the theme song?

On a side note, the original theme is way way better than the Primer version.

I prefer the longer version for effect, though both versions are great.
