How do you figure that out? Peter was a successful agent before he made the deal with Neal. It would be the end of the series... but I don't see why putting Neal back in prison would ruin Peter's career.

Then Peter busts Keller and thinks he had the treasure all along.
How, then, would he explain why Keller kidnapped Elizabeth?

Actually, that's what Peter said himself (in the premiere episode of this season if I remember correctly ). He vouches for Neal and watches him. The day it comes out that Neal stole this huge treasure right under Peter's nose, it's the end his career.

True, but my bet of Peter's character is he'd want to take down Neal at any cost. If he had to Peter would arrest Neal, take the blame to protect Diana and Jones, and the real reason for his resignation would be concealed since there would be no way the FBI would want to announce they were duped. Long story short, if Peter turns Neal in then he eventually lands on his feet.

WTF??? The cliffhanger was awesome, but what the f*** is the point with a almost 5 month long break with three episodes left? Why cant they just run all 13 episodes in one go?

Actually, there are 6 episodes left for the second half of season 3 .

There are several reasons for a break during the season. For once, production takes time. We want to see a new episode every week, but the production does take a few weeks per episode. Then the network has to find the best suitable place in its schedule.

It's indeed a long break, but at least the network offers some other great shows as well (Psych who returns in Octorber comes to my mind )

That's no excuse! There are other 13-16 episodes shows and they don't need to take a break. There are also some 24-26 episodes shows... What is so special about the production of this show that they need to take a 6 months break?

    Nah. Something else is involved.

He doesn't escape don't worry. He will tell Peter, he has no choice now.
