Who remembers back in 1999 and 2000 when millionaire was like the biggest thing on tv? i do, and I still wish it were on primetime television. I used to watch it every night and I was always excited to see people win a lot of money. I still watch the primetime version on GSN but I think ive already seen all of the million-dollar winners. and i watch the syndicated version every day too and i notice that very very rarely people don't make it past $25,000 even with the 4th lifeline. The new version of millionaire also has it's good parts to it though; ive gotten very comfortable with marideth. I think she's a great host and she really seems to care about contestants winning. RIP Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Yeah, I think both hosts are fantastic. Regis had more of a humorific personality, kind of teasing the contestants who burn lifelines early and Meredith has more of a kind, passive personality, saying that it doesn't matter how early you have to burn the lifelines; if you need them, you need them.

Millionaire, for me, is dead because of lower ratings.

I remember going over my friend's houise and his roommates were watching it. I watched it as a my first viewing, and I was addicted! Too bad the show got unpopular fast.

The show got unpopular because they tried to cram it down our throats night after night on endless. It's called burnout.

Damn. I wonder if this 10 years return will help to bring it back.

Had they made once a week maybe, but every night I doubt it, and I love this show.

My understanding is that they're planning to bring it back as an annual event every year if it does at least moderately well.

From what I seen, Nielsen ratings aren't good for Millionaire.

Yeah, same here. I was hoping that things would maybe pick up on later nights, but at the rate things are going, assuming they only rely on the ratings, this is an experiment that isn't likely to continue beyond this year.

I wonder how many people are watching it on DVR, though. To be honest, I've been DVRing every episode, as I prefer to cut through all of the chatter and just watch the gameplay.

I recorded ALL episodes on my old VCR (yeah,. still old school and it wasn't in HD so I didn't care) so I could skip the annoying commercials. I'm sad, Regis' version is over now.

It's okay, I still have a VCR myself. Well, more like a VCP. It plays videocassettes, but it can't record anything.

Wow, I didn't know that exist. Is that new? Why not get a VCR?

It's old and I got it because it was only $5 and I don't need to record anything to videocassette, I just need to play the ones I have.

Remember when that guy just couldn't stop talking about his testicles- about their shape, texture, etc?

My mother had some friends whose wedding theme was WWTBAM back in 2000. She always talks about how neat it was.

    We miss Regis
