    • QUOTES (10)

      • Angela: Samantha, how could you run away like that and take Jonathan with you?
Samantha: Hey, oh, Oh, hey. I didn't make him come. I mean, I tried to get rid of him.
Jonathan: Yeah, she tried to push me out of the train.
        Angela: What?!
        Samantha: It wasn't going yet!

      • Mrs. Rossini: Tony!
        Tony: Hey, Mrs. Rossini!
Mrs. Rossini: You got the kids! Good. Don't be too hard on them, Tony. Remember when you was a kid? You got drunk on alter wine and mooned the Little Sisters of Hope.

      • Jonathan: Mom, my cockroach won the race!
(Angela knocks it out of his hand and stomps on it)
Jonathan: Well, at least he died a winner.

      • (the phone rings and Mona answers it)
Mona: Hello? What? What? Oh, heavens are you sure?
Tony & Angela: What is it?
Mona: You've just won a barbecue.

      • (Mona picks up Jonathan's bee jar)
        Mona: Are these your bees?
Angela: Uh, no, I don't think so.
Mona: Good, because it seems like one is eating the other.
        Angela: What?
(both look in the jar and put their glasses on top of their head)
Angela: No, Mother. It looks more like they're, um… friends.
Mona: Ooh, you're right. I've always heard about the birds and the bees, but I've never seen it before.
Angela: Do you think we're intruding?
Mona: I think that I am going to take them outside. I just saw one of them light up a little cigarette.

      • (talking about Angela)
Samantha: I don't have to keep a lid on for her. She's not my mother. You are.
Tony: And don't you forget it.

      • Angela: Sam, it's very simple. You just remove yourself from the situation. You get some space. You give him some space.
Samantha: I'll give him some space… right between his teeth.

      • Angela: Samantha, you don't go around slugging people. Now, did you try talking to him?
Samantha: Oh, yeah, I talked to him. I told him his mother was a cow.

      • Mona: I don't really know what happened. I mean, first, they were playing, then they were bleeding. I tried to stop it. (holding out her hand) Tony, could you take a look at that, too?
        Tony: You too, Mona?
Mona: Yeah, that Welling kid's tough.
Angela: Richard Welling? He's such a nice-looking boy.
        Mona: Not anymore.
Angela: What am I gonna tell his mother?
Mona: Well, what about… "Nyah nyah nyah nyah-nyah nyah, nyah nyah nyah"

      • Tony: Yeah, this is where I had my first beer, played my first game of pool, and in the back there's the room where I first got...(looks at Angela) drunk.
